How to Monetize your WordPress Blog

Before starting with our today’s topic let me first clarify what exactly monetizing means?

“Monetize is a simple word, which means to earn revenue or in general earning money.”

Let’s start with this,

Do you ever wonder how WordPress bloggers earn a lot from their blogs through their reader? Doesn’t this sound interesting, yes it is!

Are you really into earning money from your blogs through promoting different products? If yes, then you are on the right roadmap.

After reading this article, you’ll have prior knowledge about tips and tricks needed to earn money from your WordPress blog directly.

First of all, let me give you a tip,

“Always keep your blog website fresh and updated with all the products you are actually promoting as if you’ll go off phase you may lose your audience and obviously audience matters a lot in earning money as they are your real assets”.

I’m sharing my own experiences and some of my fellow mates as well to deliver as much knowledge as possible.

To monetize your website, the following are the steps:

Know your market niche:

First, you need to know your market niche, the target audience you are actually targetting.

Let me explain the market niche by the definition given by Wikipedia

A niche market is the subset of the market on which a specific product is focused on. The market niche defines the product features aimed at satisfying specific market needs, as well as the price range, production quality and the demographics that it is intended to impact. It is also a small market segment.

So, the key concept is to know your market niche and stay in the domain in order to gather your audience but keep in mind sometimes being in your market niche may cause you some disadvantages as well, as in your domain is restricted.

Let me explain this with the help of an example,

 Persian-cat

Suppose, you have a website about cats of different breeds so, your market niche is obviously about Persian cats.

You will post blogs on how they look, how they eat, what they eat, what things they avoid and their behavior with humans.

Altogether, you cannot post anything except for Persian cats this is a plus point as a lot of people who are cat lovers will come and visit your website mostly but a disadvantage as well at some point you may don’t have anything to post as you have covered all the topics.

That’s where you actually are stuck and have to add some other elements to your niche to keep your blog alive but switching to some new topic may cause you to lose your audiences.

Know your community:

To know your community and fan is very important if you are a blogger and want to be a well-known one!

Community

Fame comes to those who appreciate their fans. Without knowing your community, you cannot monetize your website and earn money. As you real target audience from whom you are getting money are your community people i.e. your followers.

The one who waits for your blog every day and believe in your promoted products. In fact, whenever you are initiating a new business you always have to build up a community first.

So, always respect your community of followers as they are your actual asset.

Know how to generate traffic:

If you have some basic knowledge of marketing, its first rule is customer satisfaction through strategies to increase your target market.

Traffic at your website is a plus point, as healthy traffic will help you get more money and monetize your WordPress blog.
